2026 Assemblies of God Polity Practice Exam – Comprehensive Prep Guide

The Assemblies of God holds the General Council session every two years. This biennial meeting serves as a significant gathering for delegates, leaders, and members from the Assemblies of God to come together for worship, fellowship, and to conduct important business. The General Council is responsible for making vital decisions concerning the denominations’ direction, policies, and strategies for ministry.

Meeting every two years allows sufficient time for preparatory work to be done by local churches and districts, ensuring that the council session is productive. It also provides a regular schedule that keeps the church engaged with relevant issues facing congregations and facilitates timely updates on ministry developments and challenges in a rapidly changing world. This gathering is not only a time for decision-making but also for inspiration and rejuvenation for those in ministry within the Assemblies of God.
